HPA’s DQ500 7-Speed DSG transmission upgrade provides a robust, high-capacity gearbox solution for 3.2 VR6 owners pursuing maximum performance potential. Originally engineered for high-output platforms such as the Audi TT RS and RS3, the DQ500 offers a significant increase in gear durability and torque capacity compared to earlier DSG designs.

Using HPA’s complete fitment package of custom adapters and hardware—combined with included high-torque DSG (TCU) calibration—this conversion is designed for straightforward installation by an experienced performance shop or knowledgeable enthusiast. Compared to the more common DQ250 6-speed DSG found in many VR6 applications, the DQ500 features a three-pinion gearset versus the DQ250’s two-pinion layout, allowing drivetrain loads to be distributed across additional components for improved strength and longevity.

Each complete assembly includes a brand-new DQ500 transmission, upgraded performance clutch pack, and HPA-developed TCU software optimized specifically for high-torque operation.
